today was the first day of the 7-day extended study period. my bag was
SO heavy i was literally dragging my feet while walking. during amath mrs geh spent abt 20 mins talkin to us abt who will be dropping subjs nxt yr. then she wrote sum qns on the board wch we were supposed to ans truthfully n hand in to her later. stuff like whether we had put in enuff effort for amath this yr, how was mrs geh like as an amath teacher/FM... stuff like dat. thn she started on a new topic:
permutations. it's a kinda ok chpter. but thn again amath chpters always seem easy at first thn gets harder n harder.. haha.. but i seriously think dat mrs geh had been a realy gud amath teacher and FM. sure, sum ppl dnt like her coz she might seem like 'a bitch' but hu doesnt have their bad days? n sumtimes ppl usualy provoke dat side of her. i wudnt mind having her for an amath teacher/FM next yr coz she is actualy pretty cool.
so proud of myself coz i paid attention in bio today!! wheeeeee! mr peh started on a new topic:
ecology so it was kinda important dat i paid attention. but thn again i am sitting in front so it's hard not to. but i was kinda disappointed wen mr peh told us he wudnt be goin wif us on the st. john's island field trip on 12 nov coz he's goin wif the other grp on 10 nov and dat miss diane will be goin wif us. i kinda wished dat mr peh wud go wif both grps - then it'll be more interesting and it's easier to ask qns and stuff.. oh well.. i hope he teaches us bio nxt yr. haha he also gve us his email add. he's so funny... wat wif his view on forward emails and the catfish in the pond..
we had a drama club committee meeting today. discussed stuff like roles n diff tasks etc. maryam got the president post (haha.. no surprise there) and kiran got vice-president. noorie's treasurer and im secretary. wheeee!! i actualy wanted the treasurer post but secretary's fine with me too. i figured dat managing the money issues for the household is enuff alrdy. besides it's difficult to collect money frm the drama club members so hopefully noorie will be able to do dat well.. thn lubna's asst treasurer and lois asst secretary. dharschini's CIP co-ordinator and michelle & marissa are the sec 2 reps... so cool.. i cnt wait to start discussing stuff like SYF, CCA promotion day and recruitment auditions.. ya i think the auditions are the best part.. wheeee!!~

we had interclass netball today.. 3e9 lost but i still luv the netballers anyway.. muahz! and it doesnt matter dat we lost coz the gud thing was dat u guys din give up halfway n dat the class still cheered u on.. esp wen amellia scored dat shot!! wheeeeeeee!!
after dat the sec 3's had a dialogue session wif the prefects n teachers in the.. discipline committee? neway we were discussing if the rule
'no handphones, pagers or electronic/listening devices should be seen heard or used' shud be amended. we suggested suff lyk cellphones shud be allowed before skool, durin recess n after skool but not durin lessons. n also ways how we can enforce the rule.. i seriously hope they chnge the rule. but to those ppl hu still insist on using their cellphones durin lessons.. PLS!! the skool is alrdy willing to look into the rule n maybe chnge it so why cnt sum ppl jz stick to the goddam rule?? geez... will it hurt u not to use the fone durin lessons. it's not only rude, it's distracting for the rest of us hu wants to study n pass their exams.. so like sarah sed.. "give n take". u cnt hve everything in the world..
after dat dialogue session was the most boring talk
EVER. "how to communicate with the elderly". k gotta be honest, dat was the first time i slept durin an assembly. i cudnt take it any longer. i din evn care dat the teacher was rite in front of our class. i jz leaned on sumone n slept for abt 1/2 hr.. i was soooo bored n sooo tired n it was realy hot outside too..
thn in class we check our exam marks n watched eilania's performance vid. man.. she can sing n play the piano realy well.. so happy n proud of her.. hahaha coz eilania rox!! *muahz!!*
luckily there's no skool tmr. last day of sleepin in for the wk before extended study starts on wed. got my emath txtbk.. jz need to get my ss bks.. yay.. i so cnt wait to start math again...

k i got voted into the drama club committee. gotta admit i was surprised. after all it is practically a popularity contest n im the newest member. so im kinda happy i got nominated n voted in. dunno wat my role's gona be yet tho. but maryam's def becoming president. she totaly deserves it.
finally got sum new pics over at the isct website. pics of artwork n the form 6 dance n stuff. the art works r all REALLY GOOD! sooo happy for them esp those who got the colours awards n stuff. cant wait to see them in dec. realy realy realy hope i can. coz i hear a lot of ppl are leavin so i gotta c them b4 they go everywhere in the world n we totaly lose contact...

went to cathay cineleisure wif nurul today 2 watch dat korean horror movie:
ouija board [like i sed b4 im a sucker for horror
movies]. wanted to watch
exorcist: the beginning at first but it's nc-16.. [sorry nurul..] haha.. and i also made a total ass of myself in the lift. felt soooooo embarrassed n cudnt stop thinkin abt it durin the movie. which by the way isnt dat scary. i mean it did hve it's freaky parts, durin which i cudnt stop covering myself wif my jacket, but the storyline's kinda dead. ok maybe not dead as in dead. more like flat. but it wasnt a bad movie tho. now due to my shrinkin savings, i think i can only spare enuf for like 1 or 2 more
movies. im def watchin saved! which has
mandy moore in it. she's a fab actress n super talented. n it also has macaulay culkin. lookin forward to his return to the movie industry.
wel today was fun. tmr's the start of the fasting mth. wheeeee! i must say im lookin forward to it more thn i am to hari raya. i noe, call me weird...

ok..ok... i noe i hvnt blogged in like wat.. 3 wks?? but hve been bz wif exams n stuff.. exams.. *shudder* but now dat they're over *phew* n i dnt hve to go to skool til nxt tues wheeeeeee!! but seriously, exams were causing so much stress dat i was breaking out n freakin out.
friday - 1/10/04
english paper 1: ok wat the hell was mr ang thinkin setting those topics?!!i cudnt decide between them so i went straight to the guided compo - letter writing - which was ok. cud write until the end of the letter. thn decided i had to choose a topic. decided on topic 4: describe a place of natural beauty. pfft.. had loads to write on but dunno why suddenly went blank halfway thru. so my compo was like serious crap towards the end.
english paper 2: had to read the passage 6 FREAKIN TIMES before i got the faintest idea wat it was abt. sumthin abt a blue hotel and a swede guy hu's a total nutcase. then the qns were all inferential. no straight-from-the-passage qns. fuck.
social studies: miss hamidah told us to concentrate on 3 out of 5 chpters and dat chpters 5+6 had to go together. so i focused on chpter 2: merger & separation, chpter 3: conflict in s.lanka & n.ireland n chpter 7: industralisation in s'pore 1960s-1970s. guess wat? chpter 7 came out for sbq n chpters 2,3, 5/6 came out for seq. i gues i was lucky. it wud hve sucked if chpters 5 n 6 came out as separate qns coz i do not get diplomacy n deterrence at all.

didnt take the mother tongue paper 1 so cud come later in the morning.
science (chem/phys): wen i got the paper, i was like "im so gona do phys first". phys was ok. not too easy, not too hard. but chem... i looked at the first qn: wch of these is a volatile liquid?" wtf? wat kind of a qn no.1 is this? first qn alredy so fucked. wel.. things went pretty much downhill frm there..
thursday - 7/10/04
a.math: stupid paper. 'nuff sed.
lit paper 1: I SO TOTALLY SCREWED THIS ONE UP!! for sum stupid apparent reason i thot we started at 10 wen we started at 11. but i knew we ended at 11.50 so i thot we had 1hr 50mins wen we actually had 50 mins!! and im sitting rite in front for godsakes!! took my own sweet time reading the poem and the prose n tryin to decide between the 2. i was 3/4way-thru doin part (i) wen the invigilator sed we had 15 more mins. wtfh??!! i hvnt even started part (ii) yet!! had to rush thru the paper. pretty much screwed it up.
lit paper 2: well miss ang sed to concentrate on viola n malvolio for revision. n due to time constraint i did. qn 1 (wch was compulsory) was the scene where viola had her soliloquy. thank god i read it like 5 times. thn i chose qn 2 wch was on malvolio. i like those kind of qns where u imagine u are this character n write abt this particular situation u were in...
friday - 8/10/04
ok.. hu scheduled the exam timetable? hu the hell puts bio n hist on the same day??!!
bio: well mr peh totally scared us by sayin it will be realy difficult (he later told us today dat it was to "mentally-prepare us". god.. i was freakin out. but it was actually pretty ok. i was realy preparing for the worst. thot i was gona look at the paper n freak out n cry. jw even wrote on the board an invitation to the
'shaking legs club'. time: 8am-10.15am. wat to do: stare at the paper n shake ur legs.. haha.. i was thinking abt it.. hmm maybe i'll consider the tues invitation to the tribal ceremony.. haha..
hist elect: i was kinda scared coz i only studied chptr 3: china, chptr 4: germany, and chptr 5: ww2 in germany. kinda guessed china was gona come out 4 sbq coz ww2 came out last yr n the yr b4 for sbq n we alrdy had russia for a ca. so i was relieved wen china came out for sbq n russia, germany n ww2 in europe came out for seq. didnt understand the germany qn so did the ww2 one. (speaking of ww2.. cant wait for
pearl harbour this wkend!!

emath paper 1: wasnt too bad. except for a few tough questions here n there, it was pretty manageable. i didnt freak out even tho i felt soooo guilty for not studyin at all durin the wkend. think can pass.
