Mood: brain-dead Song stuck in head today: My World by Avril Lavigne
I guess I shouldn't have stayed up late last night to watch 'Black Hawk Down' because I only slept at around 1am. And I woke up at 5.40am so that's like 4 1/2 hours of sleep. But I don't regret watching the movie because it's really really good. It's so tense and sad and just edge-of-the-seat kind of action. There were times when I was squeezing my eyes shut and whispering, 'He's gonna die! Oh no, he's gonna die!' Others I had to get up and go to the kitchen because it was just too tense lol. But the movie set me thinking that if Lenny ever have to go through that, I would seriously bawl my eyes out. I know he'd probably say something like, "Hey don't worry or be sad for me. It's my job." but I don't think I can just stop worrying or stop crying. Hell, I cried my eyes out when Gabz told me he got sent to Iraq. And he's still there now. The latest news was in today's Straits Times. The article that says 'Iraqi Shi'ites mourn their dead amid tight security'. Not that Lenny was mentioned or anything, but he's in the Ist Marine Expeditionary Force and the troops from that force were involved in a joint operation with the Iraqi forces to crack down on insurgency and it started with a curfew imposed in and around Ramadi. I don't know, I just think that it can start with a curfew and that curfew can turn into something else. I just really really miss him and pray everyday that he's safe and that nothing's happening to him and stuff. He's so young and he's so willing to risk his life like that. Hopefully he'll be going back to Cape Town for Christmas this year like last year. Then I can go back and see him...
