Mood: hungry Song stuck in head today: Mission Responsible by Michael Tolcher
So HANSON returned to their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma for Mayfest 2005. Mayfest is an outdoor tribute to music and the arts and is a family-oriented event. It is Tulsa's renowned festival of the arts and this year HANSON was headlining the festival, performing on the Tulsa World Spot Stage on Fri 20 May. Heard it was a blast and there was even one song where Taylor dedicated it to his baby girl Penelope. That man is the greatest dad. Anyway after the performance, there was an exclusive H.Net members-only screening of the new documentary which will be released later this year. About 900 people showed up for the screening. And on HF.Net, a whole new thread had to be made regarding documentary spoilers which some people are due to mention and discuss. Seriously, I couldn't stop myself from clicking on the thread. Anyway, the first mention of the documentary only appeared like on the sixth page of the thread and one of the posts was about this man Bob Marlette. Apparently he was working undercover for Island Def Jam to ruin HANSON's careers from the time the first album was released under IDJ. For those of you who don't know, Island Def Jam is the record label under which HANSON released their second studio album This Time Around in 2000 after their first album under Mercury Records. However, HANSON had problems with IDJ and so they split from IDJ and formed their own record label 3CG Records in 2003. Anyway this bit about Bob Marlette. From what someone posted, he was trying to ruin HANSON's career. And get this: he worked with HANSON on two of their songs. That seriously made me feel sick. Traitor.
Anyway, I have to go now because I have to go study. Yesterday and Saturday was spent doing absolutely nothing so I gues I have to study the whole day today. Put up a new song on the blog. Mission Responsible by Michael Tolcher. He rocks.
